🔧 THE TIMING CHAIN HAS BEEN REPLACED
If you know these cars, you already know why that sentence matters. The 2.0T EA888 engine in this generation of Audi has one famous weakness: the original timing chain tensioner design. It allows the chain to go slack on cold starts. Left alone long enough, the chain skips teeth, the valves meet the pistons, and the engine is finished. It is the single most reported problem on this platform, it was the subject of a settled class action covering these model years, and the repair runs $1,500 to $3,500 when a shop does it properly.
In May 2026, our own shop replaced the timing chain, the tensioner, and the guides on this vehicle. Not a band-aid, not a sensor — the complete job, with the updated parts.
That is the difference between buying a 106,000-mile 2.0T Audi and gambling on one. Ask any other dealer selling one of these when the chain was last touched. Most of them won't be able to tell you.

đź“‹ VEHICLE HISTORY (FULL TRANSPARENCY)
Six owners, and the last year was busy. Here's the honest shape of it: the first thirteen years were stable. Three owners held this car from 2012 through early 2025 — a Texas lease, then a Texas owner for roughly seven years, then a Georgia owner for four. Then in 2025 it changed hands three times in under a year in Florida.
It was repossessed in March 2026. We're stating that plainly. A repossession reflects the previous owner's payment situation with their lender — it is not a defect in the vehicle and it is not a title brand. The title remained clean and CARFAX-guaranteed through every transfer, including this one. But rapid ownership turnover usually means deferred maintenance, and you should factor that in. It's part of why we put the money into the timing chain.
Damage — one event. On 04/01/2026, damage was reported to the front. CARFAX assigns no severity rating to this event and reports no body shop or repair invoice, so we won't speculate about it. What we can tell you is that afterward the vehicle passed Georgia emissions on 04/30/2026 and went through our shop on 05/04/2026. Inspect the front end closely and have your inspector do the same.
Two engine entries worth understanding. In November 2025 an independent shop logged "engine checked." In December 2025 an Audi dealership logged "engine oil pressure checked." Neither record says what was found. We're not going to claim we know. What we will tell you is what we did about it: our shop replaced the timing chain, tensioner and guides — the component most likely to be behind an owner asking questions about this engine — and the vehicle now scans clean with all drive monitors completed and zero stored or pending codes.
Service history is thin, and we won't dress it up. Eight service records across fourteen years and 106,000 miles is light for an Audi. Documented work includes tires at multiple visits in 2019 and 2020, an oil and filter service at Audi Atlanta at 70,946 miles, oil services at 104,062 and 105,008, and an Audi dealer maintenance inspection at 105,840. Several long stretches have no service reported at all. That's the record; we're showing you all of it.
Factory warranty. All original Audi coverage expired years ago. Our Quality Plus coverage below is Carma's own and entirely separate.
Expected wear. Thirteen years, 106,393 miles, and a convertible top that has been up and down for over a decade. Expect cosmetic wear appropriate to that.
