The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 represents the continuing evolution of the truck segment. It has lots of modern tech, a slew of available features, and all sorts of upgraded utility.
This 1500 comes equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 engine (355 hp, 383 lb-ft) paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It produces plenty of power when accelerating or climbing a hill. Acceleration is respectable and the Silverado covers 0-60 mph in a respectable 7 seconds.
Handling is secure even with the equipped Z71 off-road package. Cornering response is predictable, and body roll is held nicely in check. The Silverado feels suitably comfortable for long trips on the open road. The ride is relatively smooth on the highway, with most small impacts neatly absorbed.
